AMBIEN

ANyone ever take this prescription sleep aid?

I did, and OMG......I hallucinated like I was tripping! I told my FI that there was a butler in our room,,,I actually saw him, but no one was there. I also started speaking to my comforter...then the smoke detector turned into a green mask that talked!

Anyone have similar reaction, or am I just a total FREAK?

I was taking it for a while (about a month) and I did fine with it. The only thing was I fell asleep about 2 minutes after i took it. I litterally had to be in bed b/c i would never make it to the bedroom without crashing. I actually had to start taking half a pill b/c I felt weird the morning after. Maybe try taking half?

Just be careful...I know this stuff isnt supposed to be addicting (that is what is so special about it)....however I recently read that all that info is a farce and you gotta be careful because it is both physically and mentally addicting!

I have a sleeping problem. At least 3 nights a week (in a row), I can NOT sleep, once a month, REGARDLESS of what I take. Ambien never worked for me!

I only took 1/2 and I had SERIOUS Hallucinations!

I WAS TALKING TO THE WALL, YET I THOUGHT THERE WERE A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE. It's quite scary when I look back on it!

I am aware that this stuff is addictive, that's the first thing the MD told me, but I said who cares, I'll try it for a couple weeks, because I have been so stressed lately, maybe this will get my sleep cycle back.

But This Stuff is HEAVY DUTY>

JENN, I can't believe it did nothing!!!!!!! Are you sure you took a 10mg pill and not a 5mg?

I can't say how freaky it is taking one of these!

Kathy some nights I can take that, a valium or whatever and nothing will help me, i mean nothing and i have tried anything you can think of. I threw the vicodin out. they don't work for me. now i just deal with loss of sleep & don't take anything.

that is scary what happpend to you!

Forget valium or vicodin....Valium makes me HYPER...I get all antsy and run around.

Vicodin: I get itchy and antsy...needless to say I have a body that doesn't do well with all the 'fun drugs' ha ha!

I am using vicoden now for my back, i take half in the day because they make me feel woosy sometimes. At night I take a full one & I am in no pain.

Yeah, I hear vicodin is great, just doesn't work for me,

Also, flexeril was great for pain (friend of mine swore by the stuff, she was in a major car accident so her back gave her all sorts of problems).

Best to be medicated and comfortable!

I learned recently that some sleeping problems can be caused by hormones. Not sure exactly what its all about...but if you are having sleeping problems the same time every month it might be worth investigating.
