Re: AMERICAN IDOL
I loved Anwar at the beginning. I think he's very likeable and has an amazing voice, but that his song choices are pretty boring. I feel like he can do a lot more with that voice if he tried.

Yes he always does ballads which doesn't make him stand out. I actually agree with Simon. He isn't consistent his whole performance. He is amazing at the end but subpar every where else.

Paula's been irritating me lately. I seriously think she's on something.
I had to pipe in at this point. I really agee - Paula's eyes don't look right. I thought that the second I saw her last night.
I was reading this thread out of curiosity to see what you young women were thinking. I love 'Idol' - I really love watching young people with musical talent. I am also amazed by their ability to stand up in front of the cameras knowing everything they do is being judged.
What do you think about the older guys with experience with their own bands competing about the younger ones? As much as I love Constantine and am rooting for him, I don't think it's a fair competition.
I think Scott should go and then Anthony. Guess I agree with all on that.
Have a great day everyone.

Re: AMERICAN IDOL
Last night's show was disappointing. Just had to mention, though, that DH had me laughing so hard. He was on a business trip last week and was out to dinnner with a guy from work and they were discussing Idol. They tried to see how many Paula Abdul like critiques they could come up with that say something w/o really saying anything about the person's ability or the performance. Then we started, it's really funny.
ex:
'You did that song like no one else' 'You came out here and you did your thing' 'I'm proud of you'

I truly hope either Anthony or Scott goes.. if I had to pick one, I'd say Anthony because he's just sooooo boring
And can I just say for the record that as always, I HEART CONSTANTINE
(I feel like a teeneybopper when I watch him )

I didn't think it was age appropriate for me to say that - but my sentiments exactly.

Classic!
Paula = nutcase.
Re: last night's show. Scott has to go. He makes me very uneasy. I think he might snap at any moment. He gets this weird gleam in his eyes whenever Simon critiques him.
My theory about Constantine is that he's doing the show just for laughs. Which is fine, and actually kinda makes me like him more. He's so cute when he has a genuine smile on his face, and so NOT cute when he's pandering to the camera (which is most of the time).
Anthony is trying waaaayyyyy too hard to win over the Clay fans, and I don't think it's working. Not yet, anyway.
I think Vonzell is adorable. I like Bo, too -- that goofy version of 'Spinning Wheel' a few weeks ago won me over. I like Nikko, but mostly because his father is awesome. Nadia is interesting but won't win. Anwar is likeable, but I'm more impressed by his attitude than I am by his voice.
Carrie = eh. Nice voice, and Simon has a crush on her.
Jessica who? She's left no impression on me at all.
All in all, not a great show last night. I was really hoping to hear some Nirvana, Soundgarden, or Pearl Jam, and instead I heard the Black Crowes? Bah!
