American Idol

American Idol

SO last night was great. I think it is going to be a hard one this year!!! They are so talented.

I do think that Charles or Julie will be voted off. I think the front runners are Kimberly, Clay, Josh and Ruben, with
Trenyce. They all sang incredible last night.

Re: American Idol

I didn't like Kimberly last night (the blond one - I missed the other)..but the rest of them you mentioned - Clay, Trenyce, Ruben - I couldn't choose between them if I had to! they are all so great! I don't remember seeing Josh perform either...

Re: American Idol

I only saw 7 performances- but I love Clay, Reuben, and Trenyce.

Re: American Idol

I think they are only eliminating one, how long will this go on for

Re: American Idol

They will eliminate one per week, just like last year!.

Re: American Idol

I loved Clay and Ruben - I also thought Carmen was pretty good!

Re: American Idol

I loved Clay. I think they all do a pretty good job.

Re: American Idol

Clay is great but I don't think Motwon is his 'cup of tea.' My final two prediction is Clay and Trenyce. The one to eliminate was 'Miss Red Dress' last night. Go home. Even 'Miss Yodeler' did better than her.

Re: American Idol

I think Simon was right about Clay when he described his performance as 'Broadway'. I think Clay has a great Broadway musical voice, but I don't think he's American Idol material.

I liked Rickey, Ruben, and Trenyce the best last night.
I think Simon likes the blond girl from Utah the best because she LOOKS the part but I think her voice is weird.

Re: American Idol

I'm with Annie on everything except I don't like Rickey at all.

Carmen was way off pitch several times and it irritated me. Love Ruben. LOVE him, but he isn't Idol material. I could listen to him sing the entire Luther Vandross catalog.

Trnyce did very, very well and she has a great look.

Re: American Idol

I couldn't believe that all the judges were telling Julie how beautiful she looked - I mean, if they meant her face, yeah ok, but that outfit was BAD. Well, at least those shoes were!! They were like something out of a ZZ Top video.

IrishTracy Posted: Mar 12, 2003 11:21 AM

Re: American Idol

Anniegrl I totally agree about those shoes!!

I loved Josh, Clay & Reuben!!!

I don't know his name the kid w/ the white kangol was horrible!!! To bad because he seems really sweet!!!!!!!!!!

Re: American Idol

My prediction for the final 3 are Clay, Ruben, and Kimberly. But I may change my mind as they sing more...you never know on this show! Last year it was a total shock that Tamyra didn't make it to the end!
Edited to say- I meant blond kimberly as well!

Re: American Idol

I've been watching Boston Public just to see more of Tamyra. She is sooo talented. I'm glad to see that she has found a good career out of American Idol even though she didn't win.

Speaking of life after American Idol, could the Kelly/Justin movie possibly look any stupider?

Re: American Idol

annie...lol...thats what I immediately thought when I saw the pink short boots...but I thought it was funny when Simon made a joke about her short skirt and she thought that he was insulting her singing!! She has a 'tude!!

I hated Kimbery Red Dress...ugh..I didn't think she should have made it this far..

My faves are Clay, Kimberly blond, and Reuban

I thought Josh had a 'tude as well...maybe he doesn't need to lose weight...but he has to dress better...the outfits make him look a little stocky...

Re: American Idol

Erica - I could not agree with you more.

I definately am not liking Kimberly - the first one to perform last night in the red dress.

I think Clay and Rueben are awesome. So neither one of them looks like the American Idol - so what??? Why should everything be based mainly on looks, the important thing is they are talented!

Re: American Idol

So true!! Heck! I have no idea what these little teeny boppers see in Justin Timberlake!! That's not 'Idol' to me

metphan Posted: Mar 12, 2003 03:50 PM

Re: American Idol

My favorites were definitely Clay and Ruben. They are both very talented. I do not like blonde Kimberly at all but I think she'll make it far.

My pick for who goes home tonight is Charles or red dress Kimberly.

Jenn524 Posted: Mar 12, 2003 05:29 PM

Re: American Idol

I think Charles is out tonight. I was never impressed with him and after last night I'm even less impressed.

Becky Posted: Mar 12, 2003 06:13 PM

Re: American Idol

I think red dress Kimberly should be gone. She was not very good.

Why has Simon not told Reuben that he needs to lose weight? He has so far said that to everyone that doesn't look like a strong wind might knock them over.
