What did everyone think of tonight's performances?? I loved Ruben-he is great every week- & Rickey Smith sang my wedding sooo well!! I had tears in my eyes!! I love Clay but he wasn't as good as usual--feel bad for Carmen-seems likes a sweet girl but everyone dumps on her! I don't usually like Kimberely Locke but she sounded good & wore a more appropiate outfit tonight. Kimberely Caldwell sounded OK-I like the way she handles the criticism from the judges. Josh Gracin picked a good song-he had to make a come back from last week--wasn't nuts about him though this week. Trenyce soudned pretty good--but she bothers me-she needs to go-

Lionel Richie was a great guest judge--much better than that weirdo last week!

I think Josh needs to sing in Country music...he is good,
But Im rooting for RUUUUUBEN!!!!!
He doesnt evn try to sound good, he just IS!!!!

Ruben is the best. He does great every week. I really hope he wins!! And he looked so much better tonight w/o that 205 shirt. I get it's a 'trademark' for him now, but it was good to see him mix it up. He looked great!

I missed Clay, Kimberly Locke & the other guy - the one that sang the Lionel Richie song... it took me 3hrs to get home from work last night! AGH!
Anyway, I though Kimberly Caldwell, sounded ok - I thought she looked really good.
Carmen - has to get a singing teacher to help her stop vibrating everytime she holds a note. I kinda felt bad for her - the way they ripped on her. She looked like she was going to cry.
Trenyce - I thought was very pitchy...
Rueben (sp?) - was really good
and the marine guy - should be on that country idol show... he has an okay voice... but, he's not at all versatile.

Clay - I thought he sounded good, I just don't think he has the voice of a pop star...

Kimberly L - She's my favorite, although, I thought it was a bad song for her... Celine Dion is tough to sing

Ricky - I like him, I don't know why

Kimberly C - I like her too, thought she sounded really good. HATED that dress though

Carmen - poor girl, she did look like she wanted to cry!!! Maybe they should just let her go...

Josh - LOVE HIM! Although, he's a country singer to me, NOT a pop singer....

Ruben - Not loving him, HOWEVER, I thought he was the best one last night

Trenyce - LOVE HER VOICE - totally impressed me last night, but unfortunatly I think her time is limited on the show

All in all, I thought everyone sounded good. This is getting tough to decide.

Do any of you ladies call in votes?

I love Ruben and want him to win. I hate Kimberly Caldwell and I hope she gets kicked off this week. I felt bad for Carmen....I think she has potential but she keeps picking the wrong songs.

My favorites were Reuben, Kimberly Locke and Ricky.

I thought Lionel Richie was a great Judge. He gave good advice and his comments were on point.

Carmen has got. to. go!! The girl drives me nuts!!!! I'm so glad Simon finally told her the truth - she was horrible!!!!

I'm in love with Ruben - I told DH to watch out!!

Clay def deserves to be in the final 3 w/ Kimberly Locke & Ruuuuuuuuben - they're the best IMO.

Josh is 'ok' - he has no 'variety' - he's def getting some USA sympathy votes.

Rickie is good. He belongs in the top 5.

Trenyce & Kimberly C. are next, in what order, I don't know. They're both annoying!!!!!!

Does anyone actually vote?? I told DH I wouldn't until the final 2. Then it'll be between Ruben & Clay - I'll wait 'n see how they fare over the next 6 weeks.

Oooh! What did Simon say about Carmen? I missed her performance last night, but at the end of the show when they did the recap, I got to hear how HORRIBLE she was! She sounds like a sheep - baaaaaaa!!

I get so annoyed that Simon always praises her performances. I think he just thinks she's marketable because of her looks and age. She is very cute, but her voice stinks.

Reuben is my favorite - love his voice and personality.

Ruben is a natural...he just doesnt look like hes trying at all. I used to love Clay but he didnt impress me last night.

Poor, poor Carmen...I think she sounds nasely when she sings.

Annie - I believe Simon described her performance as 'absolutely dreadful'.

My picks for the bottom 3 tonight - Carmen, Kimberly C, and Trenyce. Although I did like Trenyce last night, I just don't think she is popular enough to stay on much longer.

Fianl 2 - Clay and Rooooooben!

The genre they are having the contestants sing DO NOT do justice to their voices. I guess that's how they ween them out. My bottom 3 were Ricki, Carmen, and Kim C.
How about Kelly Clarkson? Her voice is great but her body has changed.

I almost hope Ruben doesn't win, because he deserves a deal NOW. He is so marketable because there is no one out there like him right now, and he can do this without the help of American Idol. I absolutely love him, and I totally see him on the charts without a cheesy crappy song that American Idol will make him record when he wins.

Carmen ****s, and she'll do fine because there are still lousy business ears like Simon's out there right now saying that types like her are still money makers. She is just like the slew of other blond haired chicks out trying to get deals right now, and she'll just blend in with the rest, and get lost just like the rest.....

I think Clay should win this, because he stands to benefit the most from it. He isn't typical, has a fantastic voice, and will go far on a broadway stage. But he needs the marketing push that this competition is all about.
