American Idol - Constantine Bias Continues...

I was astonished last night by the 'special' treatment Constatine got with the camera cuts & lighting .. totally extra produced compared to how everyone else was shot & lit.

American Idol production has been pushing this guy from the very beginning .. where we got an inside look into his band .. seriously .. from their 'studio' .. and how annoyed they became at him for leaving.

And since, they've continued pushing him .. last night, that was over the top!

For the record, I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be where he is .. but the blatant biases from the show that go on each year are ludicrous. From Ruben to Fantasia .. and now Constantine.

There were complaints to the singling out in comments by Simon of Nadia vs. Vonzell last night .. well .. the battle between Bo & Constantine has been going on since they took the two into the finals. There was a show (I forget when .. not long ago) .. where I believe it was Simon .. who said how Constantine outdid Bo .. why are we pitting individuals against each other like that???

It does not become one vs. one until the final 2!! I should just boycott this show already .. Paula's insane behaviour is enough to not want to watch .. but the bias is far worse.

I do like Constantine...but, this was just absolutely hysterical!!!!!!!!!

I totally noticed that whole camera angle/lighting thing too..I thought I was the only one who thought that! I know so many ladies think Constantine's awesome but he scheeves me out!!

Constantine wasn't that good intially but he actually got better. I don't like the way he (I love the term) eye-f**ks the camera either. Its annoying already.

Yeah Scott should have been off last week and not Nikko. Both DH and I were very disappointed to see him go.

Paula is getting on my nerves too. My DH can barely sit and watch her without making fun of her.

COnstantine was once a contestant on 'Blind Date'. It was done a few years back and he had short hair!!!

Never mind this Constantine Conspiracy Theory (not that I disagree with a lot of these theories). What kind of conspiracy is keeping Scott 'Sling Blade' Savol on the show week after week????????? AAAaaaaargh!

I think I may have to stop watching until he gets the boot. He's an abuser! He can't even sing! Is America afraid that he'll go postal if he gets voted off?

I love Constantine too.

He's the only one, besides MAYBE Bo, who is comfortable on stage since he is used to performing in front of a crowd. That totally comes through on camera. He plays with the audience and brings the crowd to him so that he doesn't have to go up behind the judges stage area - that is a sign of a good performer. And that's what American Idol needs - a good performer.

And who is still voting for Scott! I can't believe he had more votes than BO!

Did anyone hear Fantasia last week say that everyone from their season of AI had a record deal? My question is then why bother to go through to the very end of AI? Just so you can get a little more exposure?
