I was astonished last night by the 'special' treatment Constatine got with the camera cuts & lighting .. totally extra produced compared to how everyone else was shot & lit.
American Idol production has been pushing this guy from the very beginning .. where we got an inside look into his band .. seriously .. from their 'studio' .. and how annoyed they became at him for leaving.
And since, they've continued pushing him .. last night, that was over the top!
For the record, I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be where he is .. but the blatant biases from the show that go on each year are ludicrous. From Ruben to Fantasia .. and now Constantine.
There were complaints to the singling out in comments by Simon of Nadia vs. Vonzell last night .. well .. the battle between Bo & Constantine has been going on since they took the two into the finals. There was a show (I forget when .. not long ago) .. where I believe it was Simon .. who said how Constantine outdid Bo .. why are we pitting individuals against each other like that???
It does not become one vs. one until the final 2!! I should just boycott this show already .. Paula's insane behaviour is enough to not want to watch .. but the bias is far worse.

On the eye-fu*k issue:
Constantine is a trained actor, he was taught how to eye-fu*k and I am sure his teachers are quite proud of him.

It's true. All he's doing is using what he knows and working it to his advantage. By playing to the camera, he connects with the viewers at home, which is more important than connecting with all of the viewers in the audience. There are more of us than them He just loses out on those of you who don't like to be eye-fu*ked!

I really don't see what Girls see in Constantine. He is such a wannabee rocker. I don't think he is that talented.

I couldn't agree more! I thought the exact same thing last night. Watching the camera angles and the lighting - it made it seem so much more like a full performance. I am so tired of them pushing contestants on us. I thought Constantine was really good last night, but I am not a fan. I really think last night was his best performance, but I really want him to go.

I like constantine. I do think he looks like a lizard though...FH just thinks he looks greasy and creepy, like a burnout 70's leftover.
I found out he starred as 'Roger' in the 2003 National Tour of 'Rent' and I can totally see that now...
I don't know...to each their own. All I know is that I want Anthony Federhole to leave already!!

I don't find Constantine the LEAST bit attractive. I think his blatant 'I'm so sexy' looks into the camera are nauseating! And he has some sort of weird ugly double chin thing going on (and he's skinny) so it makes no sense, but it just grosses me out! Blah!!! AS for his singing I don't think he is that good, however as much as I HATE to admit it he was very good last night. Also I'm not bias against him I really dig tattooed metal guys but I think he's a choir boy in rockers clothing. Maybe that's why I don't like him because he's a fake!!!
