American Idol - Constantine Bias Continues...

I was astonished last night by the 'special' treatment Constatine got with the camera cuts & lighting .. totally extra produced compared to how everyone else was shot & lit.

American Idol production has been pushing this guy from the very beginning .. where we got an inside look into his band .. seriously .. from their 'studio' .. and how annoyed they became at him for leaving.

And since, they've continued pushing him .. last night, that was over the top!

For the record, I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be where he is .. but the blatant biases from the show that go on each year are ludicrous. From Ruben to Fantasia .. and now Constantine.

There were complaints to the singling out in comments by Simon of Nadia vs. Vonzell last night .. well .. the battle between Bo & Constantine has been going on since they took the two into the finals. There was a show (I forget when .. not long ago) .. where I believe it was Simon .. who said how Constantine outdid Bo .. why are we pitting individuals against each other like that???

It does not become one vs. one until the final 2!! I should just boycott this show already .. Paula's insane behaviour is enough to not want to watch .. but the bias is far worse.

Ditto -- I mean c'mon, I feel like the show is fixed anyhow (how else can you explain Nikko going last week when Scott and Anthony totally STUNK)

But in this case, I really like Constantine - I think he's a great performer and I actually love that he is far different from the typical AI 'type' we've seen in the past few seasons

So let the bias continue - and not for nothing, I think Constantine would get PLENTY of votes no matter what Paula, Simon, Randy says anyhow... JMO

That's fine to like him .. I'm not knocking anyone who does ..

but there needs to be fairness in how the contestants are shown to the audience .. since the audience is supposedly who determines who stays & who goes.

And I'm not talking about what the judges are saying .. I'm talking about the production of the show.

And KEL - I agree with you 100000%!!! The bias is SO blatant.

I don't know if they think the viewers are dumb or what but they have been shoving this guy down our throats since day one. I can't help but remember the dumb clips of his 'band' rehearsing... can someone tell me WHY HE HAD A FAN POINTED AT HIM BLOWING HIS HAIR AROUND during a home rehearsal???

Word!!! I have to close my eyes or turn away when he's on. I can't watch him.

I don't like how he panders to the camera. Part of Vonzell's appeal (to me) is that she works the audience and practically ignores the camera. She doesn't need all that fancy production!

Regardless of who we're individually rooting for, I think we can agree that:
