American just cancelled my direct flights to St. Lucia

Now i am rethinking my honeymoon

Call them, they can put you on another flight or give you your money back and you can book another company.

we are going through the same thing, they cancelled our direct flight home from Aruba so instead we have a layover. we may cancel the tickets and go to jetblue.. but call them!

I posted this on Monday too - keep your hm as planned - just have your travel agent re-book your flight. If you are flying out of JFK like us then you'll have a stop over in San Juan or Miami.

They were the only airline that did direct flights there and they just cancelled them all. Flights went from 4.5 hours to 9 hours!! And they didn't even lower the fare. A$$holes

They automatically rebooked me on a 1 stop in Miami but the travel time is insance now.

Me too. I just got back from hawaii two days ago and I swore I would never fly again unless it was a direct flight.

I just checked and my flights are still available. I wonder when they are stopping the direct flights.

we were told we would still be in St.Lucia by 2pm - we are leaving a little earlier.....

I was playing around with flights. I think they are doing the direct flights until Labor Day.

My flight was leaving at 10:15am now it's leaving at 5:45 am.

Both Air Jamacia and American have stopped all direct flights to St. Lucia- when I was in St. Lucia in March they said that it's due to some political issues with the local government.

In essence it's not the airlines fault imo but the St. Lucian government's issue.

What I would do is call and unfortunately be stuck with a layover flight
