I also stuck with my normal 'wears throughout the pregnancy.

Had to make an emergency run to the mall when, about 5 days before my due date, I realized I needed 'full butt' undies to recover in!

It's definitely TMI, but I'll share...

You have to wear some pretty hefty pads for a while (for a few days I wore 2 at a time!) and I don't think a thong can securely hold them in place. Also, I didn't want to run the risk of staining any of my semi-expensive undies. (I have have an underwear fetish and often spend $30 or more on a pair.)
