an honest request

Original post by sugarnspice

can we all go back to these boards being fun?

Im not specifying ANYONE but yes at times a post can hit a nerve and yes some people word things differently, but really.... we are strangers! why let the opinion of a stranger really affect you?

the people that are real FRIENDS on here, met and like each other for how they are off the boards. those that are just screen name friends thats fine too

this is supposed to help us through the most stressful and yet happiest time of our lives. the drama adds crap into the picture that is unnecessary.

you dont have to like everyone on here, i think thats impossible, but civility goes a LONG way. How you conduct yourself when there is no real repercussions is a loud statement about one as a person.

2010 is RIGHT around the corner.... can we please go back to having fun and realize that opinions are USEFUL and sometimes its okay to be disagreed with.

Maybe im rambling, but i just hate when people get their feelings hurt, and really when people take this so seriously. The thoughts that should matter are yours, and those important to you. If a poster does not hold a valuable place in your life, let it go. Its not worth it.

I think we all need a vacation

Re: an honest request

I just want to apologize to you ladies...I know that lately a lot of the drama has been centered around me, and I just want you to know (and I know that people will believe what they want) but I swear that I don't go around creating drama for drama's sake...I've actually gotten really annoyed at girls who have done that in the past for this exact reason. The only reason I started that other thread was because I really didn't know if I was overreacting or not....then it all blew up.

don't be sad--- i think it was totally legitimate that you were concerned, that's not causing drama, that's being cautious & concerned

Well said, Ali
Ilana, you didn't mean for that post to blow up.

I will admit that when I'm in the mood to add to the shytstorm, I do. We should just ignore any crazies. Let's make a pact to do that.

Yay, Ali!

Like I tell people all the time 'It's just the internet'. No sense getting your panties in a bunch over something a stranger said to you.

I don't even know what's going on half the time, but there seems to be an air of negativity around these days that isn't pleasant.

So, although the drama can be fun let's just remember why we're all here in the first place.

That really needed to be said. Its so easy to get caught up in the moment and to forget what the sole purpose of our being here is. So lets just plan our weddings and ignore crap-starting newbies.

Ali you are so right! I really try to stay out of the drama but sometimes you can get caught up in all the craziness. I for one, promise not to get into any drama, no lauging icons, or head banging icons. nothing

If we all do that, the ones that starts the drama will go away- there will be noone to get the drama going!
