FH and I rented Al Gore's Documentary saturday night. It is really scary!! It gives you such a wake up call. I then watched him on Oprah (sister tivo'd it) and its just amazing how people dont stop and think about the consequences of what they are doing. I want to go out and buy the safer light bulbs that give off less CO2 now. Its a really good movie if you haven't seen it yet!

(Sorry, I'm not an Al Gore fan...and I don't like scare tactics in movies...it makes me freak out!!! )
But yes, I am all for doing my part in saving the environment!!

Re: An Inconvenient Truth.
Well global warming is caused by the large amounts of CO2 that are emmited from the earth. And he shows the use of CO2 used today across a span of 200 years and we skyrocketed over the past 5 years. He shows pictures of the himalayas, and other mountain ranges, glaciers, and lakes. He shows them 100 years ago and today and you see how much they have diminished. Its really sad how we can just let this happen. All i imagine is the Day After Tomorrow!

Re: An Inconvenient Truth.
My netflix envelope with that movie should be in soon . Not a fan of gore myself but i think the movie is deff. worth seing it. It makes you realize that driving a hummer, leaving lights on all day and throwing away every recyclable item is just completely putting the middle finger up on mother nature.

Yeah, I saw this National Geographic special about Antarctica. Despite how I feel about A. Gore, it's difficult to argue that the icecaps are not melting and that the ozone is not depleting.
On the other hand though, I saw this awful SCARY video when I was like 12 (in school, mind you....) and it showed how Long Island was going to be one of the first places to become under water....! I was TWELVE! Hence now why I am scared of watch those kinds of things....

hahahahahah! I'm picturing you running out into the street with your bag of garbage that has recyclables in it, and flipping the bird to the sky.
