Did you check out The Foundry in LIC also? I love that place but it was too small for our needs and out of the budget.

I love that place also. Great location

I think you would love Old Field Club. Its in Setauket, it was established in 1929...its absolutely beautiful and definitely unique, at least in my eyes and compared to many places on Long Island.

ETA: I think it also goes GREAT with your inspiration!!!

I'm getting married there. Definitely has a unique feel. Also look into the Bates House in Stony Brook. You can rent the whole house and it's on a great property, right behind a park. I think you can rent the house for $650. Our friends had their wedding there and it was great.

There's also the Setauket Neighborhood House which has a $1200 site fee but there's not a lot of land if you want to have something outdoorsy.

For a rustic cell. what about Martha Clara Vineyards? They do events in a barn-- it's really nice.
