.... and, 7 weeks are over, just like that...
my 7 weeks back in NY have come to an end and I'm packing for the airport (my flight is at 1pm, but i was too tired to do it last night)
I got SO MUCH wedding stuff done while I was home, and it's crazy that we're down to 50 days 3 hours. the next time I'll be back in NY will be 6 days![]()
Here are the major wedding things I did while in NY:
- had my surprise bridal shower & wrote TYs
- kicked out a BM![]()
- had FOUR dress fittings![]()
- major MOB dress drama, but it was resolved & my mom had 2 fittings (i went to both)
- went to 3 of 5 BM's fittings/helped them find shoes
- stuffed/stamped/mailed invites/tracked RSVPs
- 2 florist appts (totally changed our flowers; saw sample centerpieces)
- 2 NRC appts (food tasting & menu selection)
- ordered/'received wedding thank you cards
- got FH's wedding band; got his+mine engraved
- picked about 1/2 of our songs -- we need to get on this!!
- had my bachelorette party in AC :)
- DIYed 170 favors -- hugely time consuming
- designed menus and programs
- bought part of BM gifts
- bought lots of honeymoon clothes!!![]()
- decided on and ordered our ketubah
- had a gtg with dana (dajc23)
- decided on cake design
i'm sure there's more slipping my mind now but bw working in the city and helping plan my dad's 50th (also was this summer) i feel like i haven't had a free minute since i've been home. plus, my grandfather has been in the hospital for the past 2 weeks, and while he's doing OK (they just need to tweak his bp meds) it's one more stressor.![]()
i'm excited to see FH again and hopefully there's some wedding stuff I can do from away, but i feel like it never stops -- i start job #2 on monday ![]()
