THIS IS NOT EVEN FROM THE BOSS, ITS FROM ONE OF THE UNDERWRITERS WHO IS TRYING TO PLAY BOSS...AND HE LETS HER GET AWAY WITH IT...AND FURTHERMORE, WE ARE A WHOLESALE INSURANCE COMPANY, WE DO NOT DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC, OR HAVE ANYONE IN OUR OFFICE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL ATMOSPHERE....I MEAN ITS SO QUIET IN THERE YOU CAN HEAR SOMEONE IF THEY ARE WRITING WITH A PENCIL....ITS NUTS....I AM SETTING UP MY RESUME TO GET OUT...I AM SO MISERABLE

And I forgot to mention we only have a 30 minute lunch, so by the time we get lunch (if its picked up)and get back to the office, its already 30 minutes, so thats when it comes to working and eating....and I have a problem chewing certain thins because of all the work i have had done on my teeth I have to be very careful, and even that does not cut it when i brought that up to her...AND we have 2 pregnant girls there...both of whom eat small snacks and stuff throughout the day.....nd they brought that up and were told that does not work either, well, they are continuing to do this....they canot starve their babies because of @ssholes there...

cut my wrist already why dont you I could not work under those conditions for sure. I eat at my desk quite often. I listen to my radio from 9 - 5 it keeps the room so alive. I could not handle that at all

At least you get to listen to *any* music....I can't listen to anything. Blah.

We can eat at our work stations but honestly, I don't like to if I'm eating soemthing with a strong aroma (fish or certain cheeses) because others may not like the smell. And one guy is such a pig there's crumbs all over this desk. Yuk.

It is hard when you only have 30 mins to eat but think of it as a little 'get away' from work - may relieve some work stress!

As for your co-worker playing boss..surprised your own boss let him/her get away with it..doesnt' say much for the boss does it!

I listen to my mini radio from 8:30 til I leave at 5....Like I said, we get a half hour lunch, UNpaid...and where our office is, ther eis only 1 place close buy---its got pizza (NOT LIKE NY PIZZA) and heroes...thats it..and its NASTY so to get takeout anywhere else, its kind of far, so we would all eat while we worked...

NO CLUE why all of a sudden its a crime to eat at our desks...I mean, I got so pi-s-s-ed I went to the front counter, took the candy jar that I put there, and brought ti back to my desk, sent an email and siad since there is no more eating at desk, I have taken the candy jar back. THe SKANK emails me and says she wants me to put it in the kitcehn because she wants to put candy corn in it.. I said NOPE....not putting it back..if u cannot eat at your desk, that means candy too...

I really do not have a clue why this was taken away from us, its like this lady is on her HIGH HORSE and does whatever she wants..I mean I toast a bagel at like 8:30 and since I eat while I work, I usally do not even finish it till about 10 or so....I eman...I am WORKING.....so now, if u want a snack, you ahve to get up and way from your desk....and I said If I am eating in the CONFERENCE ROOM and this witch or the boss come in (and he is skank and always eats tuna) I will either throw out my lunch or go and eat in my car......I will show them....

IT is already so quiet in there, feels like its a morgue...its HORRIBLE, I am so unhappy there....so this was the icing on the cake, I got my resume fixed, and its on a few fax machines already!!

I enjoy my lunch in QUIET at my desk...playing online....printing recipes, etc...we ahve partitions, so the only time we smell ANYTHING is when my skank boss does his tuna.....the other day he heated it and I left for the day because it made me sick to my stomach....Blah....

I think when you can eat at your desk you are more productive, get up to leave and eat everything?? how silly is that. And this too shall pass. Don't go tit for tat, b/c until you leave you do not want to make it so uncomfortable for yourself that you do not want to go to work. There are worse things in the world.

Thanks for the insight Shamma....this is the tip of the iceberg, and its been a little over a year that I have been unhappy, but I get my benefits there, and every once ina while, its like everytings ok....but then stupid crap like this happens....they know we are not happy, and if we were alt least called into a meeting to address this, it would ahve maybe made more sense, or theer was a compromise....who knows.....but its all down thru emails....uuugh
