and so they are dropping like flies (bridesmaids)

my brother breaks up with his gf (pretty bad even her mother told him not to speak to her until they figure things out. shes not talking to me so yea its safe to say shes out)

My co-worker/ good friend just advised me she is unable to afford it and has been meaning to drop out but didnt know how to (which i completely understand. what kind of friend would i be if i got mad or upset)

my cousin in vegas is having a difficult time making decisions in general. her parents called me to tell me shes gained like 30 lbs and probably wont fit in the dress and doesnnt know if she will be able to make it

and finally

FH's brothers gf also a good friend of mine decided it be smart to book a conference with work the week of my wedding missing the rehearsal and not to sure if shes coming in sat the 29th or sunday morning of the wedding meaning shes not sure if she will be a bridesmaid (did i mention she and fh brother ae on the rocks too which im pretty sure tthats what this whole debacle is about)


oh boy! i might cry after this rant

That totally stinks....I'm so sorry this is happening...just keep in mind that no matter what, this will be such a happy day!

ugh, that's horrible! I'm sorry! anybody you can ask to step up that may fit the dresses? how many bms are you left with?

eta: what exactly can't the friend afford about being a bm? are there certain things you expect from her moneywise? i know some girls had their showers and bach parties paid by bms but my bms were only responsible for their dress and shoes. maybe let her know she does hanve to gift or something etc.

If all the dresses have been ordered what else is left to pay for? As for your cousin and brothers gf that is just inexcusible to me. If I were you yes I'd be really upset, but don't let it ruin things. For your ceremony you can have the GM's stand up with your FH and just have your maid of honor, fg ring bearer and any other BM's walk down by themselves. I hope you cheer up and feel better

the thing is these girls paid the half needed to place the order and when they get shipped here, they need to pay the other half...i don't know what to do lol i give up!

I didn't have a shower or bachelorette party (didn't want either one), and at the end of the day, we still had an amazing day, the people standing by us mean the world to us, and here we are 80 days later happily married.

No matter what happens or who is there, as long as you and your fiance are together at the end of the aisle saying I do - that's all that will matter in days, years, decades after all the wedding stuff ends.
