Her sister in law just facebook commented me with a dress she order for FMIL. It is a beautiful dress! FMIL is a big women and not everything flatters her. HOWEVER the dress that was purchased for her is Champagne but looks sooooooo light!
WHat to you girls think? I already said its a very light color and its going to look similar to mine (ivory dress) in pictures and in person.
I dont want to be a bridezilla but seriously????????

My mom is planning on wearing champagne and I think that's fine. I am wearing white though and not ivory so I guess it is different.

it doesn't come in other colors for plus sizes. :/
My colors are crimson & Ivory. I was going to have accents of gold but that didnt happen. All dresses the MOB and BM, MOH are wearing are in my albums if you want to see. She's going to stick out as much as I am.

Can you go and see it in person? If it's as light as it looks in the photo, I would say something. I don't think it's bridezilla at all. Maybe you can volunteer to help research whether that dress or a similar one comes in different colors.

I am hoping the dress comes in this week because I am going to visit FH stay with him all week. So we will make a final statement after I see it on her. Maybe at that point she will realize for herself. I already tried looking and the dress isnt coming in a diff color for plus size women and everything I see people tell me its not flattering to her body type.
We'll see what happens when I go to visit. I'm sure it will all be figured out then. I just hope she doesn't take out her stress (fact that her sisters arent coming to my shower) out on me! LOL
I'll stay 3 feet away at all times.

I would hate it! My FMIL told me she found a dress in a wants to wear a 'light blush' color and I walked out of the room (she got the message). Maybe you should remind her that you are wearing ivory, not white and you think the dresses will look too similar.
On a side note- I went to a wedding 2 weeks ago and a guest wore light champagne/ivory and I was totally freaking out. I kept mumbling to myself each time she walked by saying 'who wears white to a wedding?'

If it really bothers you, I think you should have your FH talk to his mother about (since it is his mom!). Maybe she doesnt even realize how annoying this will be to you.
You may also say, since your mother wanted to wear a similar color and you told her no, it just would not be right.
