and the RSVP drama continues...

Here we are 2 days after the RSVP due date and I'm still waiting on 14 response cards. Most people have been contacted by now. FH just texts me and we 'have another cancellation'. Someone who RSVPed 'yes' now cannot come. ***? Am I the only one getting cancellations or changed RSVPs???? This is maddening!

i havent gotten any yet, but we are still missing 33 cards and we are NOT turning the final # in until last minute, just in case!!

what are your #s up to?

I was nervous about paying for people that didn't show up if an emergency happened. I gave my hall 3 less people and it was the best decision.

One couple did not show up because the husband got injured at work and one guy he came alone after RSVPing with this wife.

I knew where the missing plates were and during cocktail hour I would have told the Maitre D' where to add them. I think payment on a credit card would have been OK otherwise we did have cash.

We got 184 'yes' so far. I dunno the exact number of 'no', but most we either knew wouldn't come (out of state), were a +1, or one of FHs coworkers (he HAD to invite everyone....). 200 is our minimum, so I think we should be fine (14 missing response cards)

we are cutting it close to our min if we only include people we know are coming... that would only be 150 people out of 250

I still have 95 missing RSVPs! Out of 212 sent, but we decided to not start reaching out to people on 8/21 as we know who is coming more or less. We had lots of out of country, plus I had to invite people I sent STDs to that are with a company I no longer work for, of course most of them arent coming., but had the decency to send the card back.
We have 148 yes', but we are sure we have our minimun. Also, we sent the invites out late, and didnt give people much time to respond. I will cut people off this time next week though! Unreal.
