All I have to say is thank goodness I left at 2:30 yesterday, when I got home, what I saw on tv at Penn station was frightening!!
I will be leaving the same time today.

I dont go into the city, but I do have to take the subway and bus to get to work. Thank god my boss has been nice enough to pick me up and drive me home the past two days. Today is my last day of work until Jan. 3rd hopefully the strike is way over by then.

Lauren, being the idiot that I was, I was actually IN that mess outside of Penn yesterday. Needless to say, I'm leaving work a lot earlier today.

A lot of the Queens folks made it in this morning - they said the LIRR experience was a lot better than yesterday.

They also said the LIRR (Jamaica station) was a lot better prepared to handle the volume as opposed to yesterday.

Hope everyone continues traveling safely!

I commute in from LI, and usually I am practing my Vodoo ritual on the LIRR by now. However, I must say, they have really pulled through, as far as getting people back and forth.

= LIRR

Re: And the strike continues......

The commute in the morning is not that bad since I carpool with FH and our friends, but getting home last night was a disaster...I got home at 9 and I left at 5 (Im downtown though)...today I already told my boss Im leaving at 4 and we're carpooling back as well...this is a disaster though...especially right before the holidays...
