Angelica Glass photography
I have met with a few photographers and felt luke-warm about their photography. Then a friend introduced me to the Angelica Glass website and I fell in love with her work. However, when my future MIL and I went to meet with her she wasnt very nice to us. She didnt show us a contract, couldnt quote prices, she said 'i dont have my price list memorized - didnt I send it to you?'Im at a loss - do you take a chance on someone who has beautiful pics but doesnt even seem interested in your wedding? Moreover, she is expensive.
I looked at what other people have said about her and I havent seen anything mnegative, except that she is pricey. Did anyone else have this experience with her?

Re: Angelica Glass photography
honestly i think the reviews of her and her work should speak for themselves, however it is very important that you like your photographer since theyll be with you ALL day and directing you and everything so if youre not too crazy about her personality i would keep looking. But her work is really good from what ive seen

Re: Angelica Glass photography
Hello fellow Woodlands bride!!!You definitely should love the work but you should also like the photographer themselves... This person is going to be following you around from the minute you start to get ready until the very end of the day...
If you didn't get a good feeling from her I would keep looking...
Try this website... these are my photogs... Brooke and Eric are amazing people. I am absolutely in love with them and their work. It's more of that photojournalistic feel and their finished product is amazing too!!

Re: Angelica Glass photography
I think that regardless of how talented a photographer you also need to have a certain chemistry with them. They will be with you for 8-10hrs on your special day and its important to feel comfortable with all your vendors. I would suggest meeting with other photographers and figuring out which is your best fit.

Re: Angelica Glass photography
Wow she sounds rude! Sorry that happened to you. I don't get why vendors treat their prospective clients like that

Re: Angelica Glass photography
I was an Angelica Glass bride. She was always very pleasant with us. I loved her work and my fiance was obsessed with it - he would not even consider anyone else when I expressed concerns about the cost. See my albums for the epics and wedding photos. They really are special.Of course, you have to realize this is an independnet photog and not a studio were somone's job is to sit and answer the phone so the experience you have will be different. You will not get a ton of prints or a parent album as part of a base cost. You are paying for the unique style and although Angelica will edit a bunch of pictures for you, the bulk some will be unedited but still very nice photos.
That said, I think her albums are insnae and that was a big pull for me - I really can't wait to start on our album and see what she does. She touches all those photos up and honestly, I think they will be out of this world.
That said, you have to click with your photographer so maybe you should look around and then consider. Feel free to FM me with any questions.
Kristina

I met with Angelica Glass last night and not only do I love her work - I love her personality. She seemed very enthusiastic and organized about my wedding. Her album books are amazing, a little pricey but worth it!!!! Seeing them in person really sold me on using her for my wedding!!

Angelica shot my wedding a few weeks ago. We are the last wedding she posted on the blog. Let me tell you, she was so worth it and she didn't leave my side all day. I have over 1200 amazing shots. Seriously, there are a few I thought are ok but maybe only a handfull. They are amazing.

Re: Angelica Glass photography
Regardless of what others say about her personality, it is YOU and your FH who have to click with her...maybe she had a bad day, maybe she just rec'd bad news, whatever,,,she still shouldn't treat prospective clients like that...anything that makes you doubt a vendor, is cause for concern for me. I would keep looking if I were you and your FH....there are so many other photogs out there who are wonderful to work with, do gorgeous work, and won't leave you with doubts that lead to a post about them...!! Photogs are the most important vendor, they are in charge of your memories...and you don't want any doubts. GL hon

Re: Angelica Glass photography
I wouldn't feel comfortable with someone who treated me like that on our first meeting. Their work has to be good but you also have to click with them since they'll be with you all day. Maybe she did have a bad day but still not acceptable in my opinion - it's up to you. Good luck.

Re: Angelica Glass photography
Ohh I'm sorry she was a little rude! I've only heard great things about her... and her work is amazing!Maybe she was just having an off day?
For me though... I want someone who cares about my fiance and I... I feel like you can really see it through their work.
Amanda Picone is my fav and I cant say enough good things about her. She actually cried a few times during our ceremony.
You will have to be around this person all day so I would try to find someone whos personality clicks with yours.
I hated my limo guy.....like really hated him.... and I had to deal with him all day. Every time I looked at him I got annoyed... it wasn't fun lol.

Re: Angelica Glass photography
I wouldn't book with her if she acted like that. I didn't meet my photographer until the day of our engagement shoot and luckily he's a nice guy. The sales lady/receptionist, no clue what she is, who we have been dealing with is very abrasive but we loved his work when she showed us, which is why we booked with him. I can see her putting off potential clients though since she is the representative of his work, even though she's not the actualy photographer. When you're running a business, you need to slap on a happy face and be nice to clients no matter what..at least if you want their business.

Re: Angelica Glass photography
IMHO, there are so many wonderful vendors out there that make you feel like your wedding day is the most important thing to them. I think that vendors that fail to give you that treatment do not deserve your business.

OMG!! I saw your pics on her blog, you looked so amazing!! You looked absolutely stuniing!!
Angelica is well worth the money but if you feel that you didn't like her personality but loved her work, maybe you should try and schedule another meeting with her and tell her you want to see more of her work before you make a final decision. Then see if she is any different, and make ur decision based on that! everyone deserves a second chance.

Re: Angelica Glass photography
I THINK AG IS AMAZINGLY TALENTED.. HER PICS ARE GORGEOUS AND IF I COULD AFFORD HER I WOULD TOTALLY HAVE HAD HER DO MY WEDDING.. BUT , ITS SUPER IMPORTANT TO ME THAT I LIKE THE PERSON IM WORKIN WITH. IF I DIDNT FEEL COMFORTABLE I WOULD NOT BOOK THEM..I WOUND UP CHOOSING MY PHOTOGRAPHER BASED ON FIRST IMPRESSION...I WENT TO 3 PLACES TO LOOK AND 2 OUT OF THE 3 I DIDNT GET TO MEET MY PHOTOGRAPHER AHEAD OF TIME AND THAT BOTHERED ME A LITTLE CAUSE I WANTED TO KNOW WHO I WOULD BE WORKING WITH ALL DAY BEFORE I BOOKED THEM...THERE ARE A LOT OF AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHERS OUT THERE. GOOD LUCK !!:)

Thank you so much for your kind words! I already miss my wedding so much.
I think the important thing for people to remember here is that everyone has an off day, maybe that was hers. That is no excuse for rudness but I didn't hear the examples of that in the explanation above.
Angelica's work is amazing. Her prices are high because she is worth it. And what Kristina said above is very true about her photos. It was the best money that we spent on the wedding hiring her.
That being said, you need to have a good relationship with your photographer because they really are with you all day. Angelica's assitant even got me a drink because AG was by my side litterally all day. Alternativley the other photographer suggestions are good ones but I've still never seen anyone shoot a wedding like Angelica.
