How was your first week on the new job. We miss seeing you around.

My first week was kinda like a rollercoaster with the emotions. I was scared and nervous and yet excited at the same time. I personally think it's harder to come from another job than straight out of school in the respect that I am expecting so much more in terms of training. When they give me something to do I freak because I KNOW there are more steps that they aren't showing me as opposed to when I was fresh out of school. I didn't know what to do and just waited for instruction. Maybe it's not fair to say this - I have lots of respect for people coming straight out of school - that is stressful too. This is just my opinion. I am afraid that they aren't showing me all that I need to learn and down the road it will come back to hurt me - I'll take the fall for something because I didn't have the appropriate training. Can you see how stressed I am?

But I do think I will learn a lot and it will help my career. Next week my new boss starts so that should be a positive - we can learn together. My coworkers are all great and have been really good with helping me out and trying to bring me in on things.
