Anne DeMarco Makeup Review & Pics!
Last week I went for my makeup trail with Anne DeMarco of Rouge Makeup Studio but I'm just getting to post my review now. Bottom line: I booked her on the spot!
First of all, Anne's Manhattan studio is so chic and comfy. I was greeted by her and her fellow makeup artist Charles - they really couldn't have been nicer. I was offered a glass of prosecco (how could I say no?) and hopped into the makeup chair. Before getting to work on me, Anne asked me all sorts of questions....about the wedding, my dress, my fiance, how we met, etc, etc. I told her what I was looking for in a makeup look - that I rarely wear makeup and when I do, its not a ton of makeup and that when I've gotten my makeup professionally done in the past I've been disappointed with it because they always put too much heavy makeup on...She said 'So you want to look like you, but a glam'ed up you? We're going to get along VERY well.'
So she got to work on me - airbrush and the works, including just a couple of fake individual lashes (which I hesitated to get at first but gave in...and I'm glad I did! Anne's lashes wash off with soap and water and felt like I wasn't wearing anything). Before I knew my face was done, I was done and I LOVED the results! I had brought pics of different looks with me but never had to show them to her...she got the exact look I was going for without me showing her.
So here are some so-so pics...unfortunately, stupid me forgot a camera, so these pics are 3 or 4 hours after the trial that FH took for me when I got home, and the makeup still looks great. Oh, and he also loved the makeup! (and he usually doesn't like me in makeup...so...success!)
The only thing is that Anne is pretty pricey, but since I have been disappointed with my makeup in the past, I was willing to pay. I booked her then and there...and she'll be coming to my place in Brooklyn the day of the wedding to do me, the BMs and the moms. I highly recommend her!

[Edited because the pics I posted were gigantic.]
