Re: Anne Rice anyone?
No, but I have it.
I haven't read Blackwood farm yet nor Blood and gold either. I wanted to read all of the Mayfair witches books before I continud with the chronicles because they intersected at Merrick (genius marketing on her part) and I wanted to know the back story

Dont read blood and gold just yet. That's part of the vampire cronicles. You'll have to go through a couple of books before you can read that one. Although its possible to read that book alone, there will be a lot of vampires you wont be familiar with.
If your interested in her books I definitely recommend the Servant of the Bones. I love, love, love that book and there's no prequel or sequel to it. It's a story that stands alone.
What witch book are you up to?

Re: Anne Rice anyone?
I thought blackwood farm was part of the chronicles (I've read all of the chronicles through merrick..I started blood and gold but I never got through it). I thought Blackwood Farm was another Chronicles/Mayfair witches crossover, which is why I wanted to go back and read the mayfair witches first
What is blackwood farm then? Is it totally independent of the chronicles and the mayfair witches?
I ahve servant of the bones, but I never read it.
I haven't read any mayfair books yet, just Merrick
I have read
Interview with the Vampire The Vampire Lestat Queen of the Damned Tale of the Body Theif Memnoch the Devil Armand the Vampire Merrick part of Blood and Gold Pandora Vittorio the Vampire
ETA: I thought blackwood farm and blood canticle were books 9& 10 of the chronicles, but honestly after merrick (what they did to my poor louis) I had lost interest. I'm going to re read the whole series again as well as the mayfair witches if I get the chance this summer.

Now Im following you. Yes, by all means read blood and gold, its Marius' book. Its really good. Your right about blackwood farms. It introduces a new vampire and it is also a crossover of the vampires and witches. Its not an independant book like Servant of the bones or the Mummy. There are many references to the Merrick book though. I too have to go back and read the witches trilogy again. I was an avid reader of the chronicles, but I got bored with pandora, vittorio and violin. I've read all the other books you listed except Merrick. I dont know how that one slipped right by me.

You have to read Merrick. I think it's technically part of the chronicles. I'm SO pissd about what they dis to my Louis, but I won;t give it away.

Re: Anne Rice anyone?
I have read Canticle (and all the others) and it was O.K. It had to do with the Blackwood farm witches so I believe that would put it in the crossover column. I agree with the other post in referance to the history from Marius' book, but I also liked getting to intimately know that one character. It is partly for that reason that I also liked pandora and Vittorio.-)
