I called my father on my way to work last night and he was nasty and hung up the phone on me. He is closing on house in flordia and he wants me to watch his three dogs next week. I literally am working everyday except two of the eight days he needs. He wants me to drop what I'm doing and cater to his needs. I volunteered my nights off but when I work 13 hours and have to do it again the next night I need sleep. I also have sick peoples lives in my hands and I don't take that lightly. My sister has a full time job as well. This will be the third time my parents are going to flordia in 2 months. Its too much and then to hang up the phone on me. He's so manipulative and controlling!! Then fh says his mom ordered her dress and scared to tell me. She should be. She's the only who says my mother should have her first pick of color and dress. And she's the one who said she would take me to approve of the dress. Guess that went out the window. Am I overreacting??? Please tell me if I am!

Re: annoyed
I don't think you are over reacting at all, your MIL should have totally waited and asked you to do with you to find her dress. Thats not fair to you!! I am sorry you are dealing with both of this!!

Sorry you are dealing with this. You have a right to be annoyed if you two planned to shop together.

Its really getting under my skin. I really want to say something to her. Do you think I should? Or just ignore it and her and let it go?

Re: annoyed
I would be pissed about the dog thing but I don't understand what's the big deal about the mom's dress thing. I mean, I'm not putting it down, I'm just curious. I mean if my mom had the same colour dress as my BM's or as my FH's mom, I wouldn't really care. Personal preference I guess. My mom bought her dress before my sister picked out the BM's dresses and my sister is getting the same colour as the dress my mom picked out. If they aren't in pictures together, is it really a big deal?

Your FMIL should have def had you go with her!! And with working and helping your dad with the dogs thats wrong that he would ask when you have so much on your plate. I am so sorry this is happening to you!

I honestly don't care the color. I guess I had a problem because she said my mom should pick her dress and color first and she wanted me to go with her when she tries on because she wanted me to approve the dress. She also picked a dress someone my age would wear but in the end it doesn't really matter.
