annoyed and disappointed

Hmmm, I love their work so I wouldn't want to rule them out completely, but they never responded to me at all when I inquired about a TTD shoot with them. So that's two right there. If you do meet with them again, I'd let them know you were annoyed and find out about back up in case of an emergency on your wedding day. You don't want a Gina situation on your hands!

when they called FH it was 1 pm! they should have already been on the road on their way to me at 1pm!!!

I replied to her confirmation last night, saying that we are upset and disappointed over this

she sends me an email a few minutes later- NOT In reply to my email about being upset
and entirely new email

saying, Hey Jenni I know E already spoke to D but I wanted to tell you as well that we have to cancel. I am sorry, I hope we can reschedule soon

or something like that

but um hellooo did you not see the other email??

UGH whatever, im over it already

I am going to price out some other photogs, let the heat die off from this
and see how i feel after i see some other photogs

I was just super excited to have another check and hopefully book epic shoot, etc- oh well!

and yeah michelle , i said before youre right they are husband/wife so what happens if something comes up on our big day? I dont know if they have back up photogs, maybe i would have known the answer if they actually showed up today! lol

Honestly I would cross them off the list, even though I like/love a lot of their work

1. If it is a husband/wife team why couldn't the wife come and at least get the ball rolling with prices, options, etc.

2. Like it has been pointed out, they have no one to back them up if they have an emergency. That is what it seems since no one was sent in their place.

3. I would not like to put my wedding day in someones hands that are not reliable for appointment during the week. How many events could be going on??

apologizing profusely

she said she doesn't drive otherwise she would have come alone

sooooo on the wedding day, what happens if her FH breaks his leg? or is sick?? then what?!

i probably wouldn't have thought any of this until it happened...sad bc i love their work and they seem like really sweet people

im going to make appts with 2 or 3 other photogs and see how i feel after that

Yeah- first impressions are worth a LOT in my book.

I would look elsewhere

The wife still should have been able to keep the appointment esp knowing that you might book them! (not very good business savy()

I can only speak from experience...I've been booked with them for a year and a half at this point (I booked before they were popular). I was skeptical to book them because there were only like 3 other people on here that were booked with them too. However, they have been great to work with so far. They came out to Suffolk for my e-pics last summer, arrived early, scouted spots.

In one respect, I totally agree with everyone else in saying that first impressions are important and obviously them cancelling last minute like that was crappish. But since I know what kind of vendor they are, I would suggest giving them one more shot. If you are worried about a similar situation happening for your wedding, you may want to look into a bigger company and not a husband and wife team. A bigger company can send a backup photog the day of...but if something happens to a husband/wife team the day of, your s hit out of luck.
