Re: Annoying!
meanie heads.
i think people just picked it up an added it to the vernacular and have given little thought to the connotation an actual bride/bride-to-be gets from it.

Re: Annoying!
I hate that. FH told his friend I was meeting with photographers, and he was like 'Whoa, what a bridezilla. Why is she doing that so early.' Yeah, booking a photographer 'early' makes me a bridezilla. What a jerk!

FH tells me all of the time that he already sees that I'm turning into a bridezilla. I don't think so. especially after seeing the shows. I won't be rude to vendors or people, maybe just him haha.

I completely agree! So, I'm involved with the details! What bride isn't! And I was this by another bride whose wedding we're going to in May 2007!!!!!!!

That term is used way to loosely, they obviously haven't watched the show!!

Until you've officially crossed the Marsha-Line and your fh is sobbing in the backseat of your car like a baby and you have fired and hired a bridesmaid 24 hours before your wedding day, no one has a right to call you a bridezilla.

Re: Annoying!
I believe some people are confused with the terminology.
So, we pay attention to details! So what? Somebody has to do it, right? This wedding is not going to happen if we don't do it. Snap in your fingers and it happens. Sure!!!
- Get the vendors we want before they are booked - Coordinate the details so nobody goes 'oopss' on the day of.
People totally underestimate the amount of work involved with a wedding. Even if you don't do a single DYI project, there are TONS of decisions to be made.
You can't JUST ORDER flowers. You will be asked what color, what kind, how many, etc..... And that's just the florist.
It's just way too easy for people to call us bridezillas when they don't lift a finger. They would not say that if they were a little more involved.

Re: Annoying!
Whenever someone called me that I said 'thank you'. But I have such a sick sense of humor. Look, I got married on April Fools Day!

Re: Annoying!
Ugh, my mom likes to throw that around a little too much. If she doesn't like something and I'm trying to explain to her why I want it this way, I get that term thrown in my face. It drives me nuts because I know I'm not. It's just realy frustrating.
