Annoying Neighbor

Annoying Neighbor

Ok-So I have this neighbor that insists on coming over everyday!! My FH and I are both teachers and we enjoy our summers off. I teach Summer School and get home around 12:30. When I get home we like enjoy spending time with one another but my neighbor, Vicki, will knock on the back gate, then open it and hangout while we are in the pool...clearly uninvited. It started about a month ago when I had family over. She didn't see all the cars in the driveway?? It is getting out of control now..she literally stalks us. She isn't old-she is about 40 but we dont care to be friends. I like to nodd and wave at my neighbors but everyday she walks up to our house as we are pulling in-there is no avoiding her. I need help!! How can we politely but strongly encourage her to stay at her own house?

OMG that is is so annoying. I wouldn't know what to do!!!!! I guess maybe brush her off a couple times (in the nicest way possible) and then maybe she'll get the hint? There is no easy way to tell someone to leave you alone!

That is soo annoying!! My aunt, uncle, & little cousins live on the same block as us and they don't even come to me & FH's house every day! (Although I was scared that my little cousin, Jr. BM, would be knocking on the door everyday lol!)That would drive me nuts!! I guess just try and drop some hints...

My FH said that she should already be taking the hint because I dont really talk to her. He says I'm being a little b***hy. But, I have my own house for a reason!!! One of my friends said I should lay outside naked and make her uncomfortable....but you know what....I think she may like that.... She already told me she has fake boobs! Why, as your neighbor, do you want to tell me this?

Ugh nightmare! I am a direct person, so I 'd probably just say something like 'Listen, as much as we appreciate your company. (Insert name here) and I would really like to spend some time alone. Please give us a call if you'd like to come over.'

ITA!!! you have to be direct with people, cause sometimes they don't get the hint.

Sad thing is....We give our # everyday on a piece of paper and tell her to give us a heads up, but she only calls after she has rang the door bell and we don;t answer......she claims she loves coming over to see our dog...but wait-----she has the same one!!! We have a male boxer and she has a female. There is no way to mate them so get over it!!@!

Ummm wow. I would want to die lol.
I think the only way to solve the problem is talking to her and directly addressing hte problem. It doesn't sound like she will get hints or indirectness. If you don't wanna do it, make FH do it! LoL that is what I would do.
Good Luck!

wow that is nuts. I can see how frustrating that would be. My suggestion is to try to tell her that you guys are busy or when your coming home and she is outside maybe pretend to be on the phone that one usually works good. Good Luck.

Re: Annoying Neighbor

we HAD the same problem. fh fixes computers so 2 of our neighbors asked him to fix theirs, and he did. ddnt charge either of them but you would think a simple THANK YOU or a 5$ bottle of wine or anything wouldve been nice. but nope. they became even MORE obnoxious.. screaaaaaaaaming our names to say hello form down the block.. ALWAYS looking into our windows and ALWAYS needing something. everyone ALWAYS needs something.

noone can do anythign for themselves and its gotten sooo annoying

so now.. fh and i dont park by their homes and if they are outside, we pretend we're on our cell phones.

they got the hint
