we have great jobs because we went to college, FH to grad school, and im currently in grad school.

therefore the student loans piled up too. so we show a nice income, but $400 a month combined go to Sallie Mae. (i hate that B!tch.)

After utilities, Student loans and car insurance.. I cant imagine a mortgage too!

i work in CT
my job is 12 hours a day and i am on call 24/7
i consider myself appropriately compensated for th stress and anxiety i have from my job...

and to be honest what i make is not nearly enough to cover my mortgage and expenses...if dh was not contributing i would not be able to afford the 'starter' house that we own..

its pretty sad the cost of things these days

me too - LI stinks sometimes. I am currently attempting to convince FH that we should move to VI or NC - he said yes in a few years (I want to go now!)

I LOVE my job and the company I work for. FH and I both live at home and have been saving like CRAZY- i can't tell you the last time we did anying over $50!! (mini golf night was our big nite out last week) but to be able to buy a house near our family is important to us.
