I weighed in last night - 1.2 pounds down. This brings my weight watchers total up to 25.4 (I got my Magnet!) and my TOTAL up to 29 pounds. ONE MORE POUND till I beat Dad at the bet!
I wish it were a closer race, though.

That's wonderful. What keeps you on track. I keep going off. I think I'm going to join it here in Bklyn. A friend of mine in Yonkers and I will keep each other informed. She's a member in Yonkers. What type of better do you have going with your dad? How long have you been on it.

What keeps me on track: Knowing how far I've come Knowing how far I have to go My Dad and his poor health due mainly to his weight problems My friends screaming about how I'm wasting away The purchase of a size 12 skirt at the Gap My WW leader - who is a TRUE inspiration and motivator My friend Jenny, who always backs me up This Board The way FH looks at me after I lose weight, which is not to say that he didn't like me before, but he's enjoying the new view as well The fact that I exchanged my dress for a smaller size (14) and only JUST fit in, so I need to lose a few more pounds
The Bet with my Dad was my idea. He had a heart attack 3 years ago, and Angioplasty in September, and while that procedure went fine he developed an infection at the insertion site, 100% the fault of the hospital. It kept him out of work for a month, and threatened his life during my engagement. To make matters worse, HIS father died of a heart attack a week before my parents got married. I was not going to allow this to happen again. So I bet my dad Bragging rights on our Spaghetti Sauce (he taught me how to make it but mine is better) whoever could lose 30 pounds first.
Incidentally, I'm not making this the official count, but while I was home for my shower this weekend, I got on the scale and it said 162 even. I WON.
ETA: you asked how long I've been on it. The bet was made in early October, then I joined WW a few weeks later.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Any tricks of the trade? It's my 3rd week on WW and so far...I gained!
I really want to do this this time, I've just had alot of personal stuff happen to me in 2 weeks that has depressed me alot. But DH said he will help me as much as he can so I hope this time I will lose the weight.

That's great. A friend is going to help me when I join. I'll go to her centr sometimes and she'll come to mine. Keep up the good work.
