It's funny you post this. FH isn't really my best friend. I consider him more of a soul mate and lover as opposed to a 'friend.' JMO

FH is kind of my best friend. He's not so great with being sympathetic or doing a little 'babying' when I need it, so even though I tell him everything, I still go to my girlfriends for most of my support. FH is my best friend in terms of our life together. We enjoy each others company and we can always make each other laugh, which is ridiculously important to me. We are different in a lot of ways, so where he's weak, I'm strong and visa verca.

Well I posted this because in my last post, a bunch of ladies said that their FH was their 'best friend'. And I just don't feel that way. My best friend is a girl named Raquel who I have known for 13 years. FH is not a friend. He is more than that.

Yes, but I also have best friends who are girlfriends. FH is great, but for some girl talk or a day of shopping, I definitely wouldn't turn to him!

I'd say so... i can totally be myself with him...

But it's a different kind of best-friendship than with my best girlfriend... So I guess you can say I have 2 best friends...

I used to think of my EX as my best friend when we were together. Obviously, that didn't work out.

FH is definitely a friend but I wouldn't say that I'm 'marrying my best friend'... that quote doesn't quite work for us. He is so much more than that and different from that. I dunno, it's kinda hard to explain, but there is a difference.

A FH can be a best friend without being JUST that. My FH is my best friend... and more. I think when girls say he is their best friend they don't mean he is not other things to them as well.

I don't think it is neccesary that anyones FH be their best friend in order to get married - but I think it makes things alot easier in terms of communication.

I've never really had a best friend, so I'd say FH fills that role as well as other ones.

He is definitely the first person I go to about anything, even stupid things,like wanting to get my haircut, but wanting it to be long for the wedding.

He is my best friend. He is the person I confide in, get advice from, laugh with, look forward to seeing, going to dinner with, going shopping with... well you get the picture.

He is my best friend and more. I wouldnt want it any other way.

I can def. say my FH is my best friend.. someone who I can trust and tell anything to. When we are together, we have fun. I genuinely like him- I better if I am marrying him. We click on so any ways. As our relationship gets stronger, so does our friendship. Don't get me wrong, I have my childhood friends.. but the two do not compare.

Ok- I know that just sounded cheesy.. but you asked.

i said absolutely, because i trust him, he makes me laugh, hes romantic, i can tell him ANYTHING, we shop together, we cook together, we clean together. i just adore him and what we have together - i could never replace this, nor imagine being like this. i just never thought it possible.

I can totally say he is my Best Friend - never before had I ever had anyone that I can tell absolutely everything to, so to me he is so much more than my husband. I agree with winterbride, we have the greatest time together, I can be myself totally with him and he never judges me. We are connected on so many different levels that friendship is just one small aspect of it.

To me, he is my BF. When anything good/bad/eventful happens the first person I think of to tell is my FI. He is the person I trust most... With my girl-friends, the status of 'best friend' is very vague, it varies based on how much time we have to hang out with each other... But with FI, he is the one I trust most!

Same here! There's a girly stuff (which you need a girlfriend for) and then there's the rest (which is where FH is my best friend)!
