Another CoCo update....UPDATE!!!!!!

unfortunately, CoCo is still in a lot of pain...she now has to have surgery on her neck today or tomorrow...: I'm so worried about her, I'm not sure what to do.....please keep her in your prayers

All of the hugs and prayers you've all been sending must be working.....today was a trying day for us, but our little baby made it through surgery..they actually had to go in twice, after the first time, they did another CT scan and found there was still a small piece of calcification on the nerve, so they went right back in and got it all. As of 8:00 tonight, she was laying in her little crate, looking at the nurse, wagging her tail......the best news we could have gotten today, we love her so much and hope that this is the beginning of a speedy recovery!!! Thanks again to you all, I'll keep you updated, I can't tell you how much it means to me to have all of your thoughts and prayers....I <3 MY LIW GIRLS!!!!!!!!!

Awww! Jenna! I'm sooo sorry! Do they know why she is in soo much pain? Which hosp is she in?
I brought Nikki to the one in Plainview twice a few years ago for major surgery and they really helped him.

I brought Nikki to the one in Plainview twice a few years ago for major surgery and they really helped him.

She in a hospital in Farmingdale on rte 110, this doctor thats going to do the surgery pioneered it many years ago and has done thousands of them, he did the same operation on a dachshund yesterday and he is making a recovery. They said that a piece of the fluid in one of her disc's was calcified and the calcification broke off and the piece is resting on a nerve, so they need to operate, they'll be doing the surgery tomorrow and if all goes well, she's expected to make a full recovery, but it's so heart wrenching to have to deal with this.....we really appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers, hugs and love to you all!!!!

I am so sorry--I totally know you must be going through such a difficult time. Coco will make it through and be so much better though!! Just keep a positive outlook and here are tons of hugs for you and Coco!!!!!

Poor Coco I'm glad she will make a full recovery. How long did the vet say it would take her to get back to herself?

Surgery was the best thing for her- got rid of the pain. I am so glad she did well!!
I wish her a speedy recovery!!

She's going to be recovering in the hospital for the next few days, but so far so good, she was walking a little this morning and we're waiting for the next update in another few hours. I can't wait until she's back home, I'm buying her a brand new blanket, new toys and treats, her vitals are good, she;s a little mopey from all of the meds, but is only in pain from the surgery not from her neck..in the words of the doctors, she's doing well, and that's all we can ask for....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love and hugs to you all
