Another favor distribution question

Another favor distribution question

We're making CD's and would like to give out one per family. It looks like we may have a full table of teenage kids (16-20), who come with their parents. Do they get a CD, or should we just put a sign stating that the favor is at their parent's table?

Sorry, but we're confused.

Sorry Alina, but this is the very reason why I wanted a favor that was one per person.

So confusing.

In your case you will have to have them handed out. Putting them out may be more trouble than it is worth.

I'd put a small framed card at the table stating that the favor is at their parents table...or put the favor at the teen's place setting and then put the card at the parent's tables

actually now that I think about it can you have a small table at the front with the favors? probably easier than at the place settings

Why dont' you keep the favors with you and your hubby and as people come to say goodbye to you, you hand them the favor? Just a suggestion, don't know if that' helps. That is probably what I am doing...

Meghan, but if they're on a separate table, then how will people know that it's one per family.

Nrvbrd, I agree with you and if this part of planning would be done only by me, it would have been one per couple at couple tables, and then a separate CD for the kids, not to make them upset, etc.

FH doesn't want that (and doesn't want to put a framed sign either, but I may have to wrestle with a bit). GGGGRRR

I think only giving the parents a favor will make the younger people feel a little slighted. I'd find a favor one per person or couple, or just give one to everyone. Or, I'd make sure to have a second favor (maybe chocolates-inexpensive and gender neutral:) for everyone. If you have no favor on the 'teen' table, or only a few per table, it might look like you were being skimpy to your guests.....

do you think they will even realize that there is supposed to be a favor? I don't think I would have...

I think a sign is rubbing it in...I say no sign...or give them something...even if its something else

I like julybrides Idea..
you could inexpensively put a little thing of chocolates at the kids place settings.. Hershey Kisses from the mr & mrs.. that way everyone gets something

I agree with butterfly- I wouldn't use a sign saying the favor is elsewhere. We are giving wine, which we will not give to the kids. We are also giving chocolate, and they will get that.

See, but then its easier to just give the kids their CD's rather than worry about other favors. So what if there will be 2 of them in someone's house, No? I am confused, sorry girls!!! I wish FH wasn't against CD's for teenagers!!!

I like the hershey's kiss idea. It's easy, you can get them when grocery shopping, and then no one's left out. Or you should convince FH that not giving something to everyone won't be looked as well upon...

Can you put the CDs with the table seating cards (tuck the seating card for the adult onto a ribbon or something?) and then put chocolates or something at each place? That way only the people who were supposed to get CDs actually get them.

IMO - some adults are worse than most teens, I would be more concerned about a greedy guest taking a CD that wasn't theirs.
