i've been told by two separate vendors now that they would much rather a gratuity than a meal.

i thought you had to do both

I would assume that this is what they mean as well. LIke they would rather the money that would go for their meal to be applied to their tip.

If that is what they mean, that's kinda rude imo.


eta: I fed and tipped my vendors. I would never think it's okay not to tip because they were fed

Yea, seriously. I was planning on x amount for tip, and feeding them wouldn't make it higher or lower. That comment would actually make it lower.
