For a cousin we are not close to...

Again I think anywhere from $50 - $100 is appropriate. Since you aren't that close I think $50 is more then generous

I wanted to get him a nice Filofax or something for his adult life, but he's into computers. I thought about a gc to Brooks Brothers, but he'll be working in computer graphics where I think he won't have to wear suits. So in the end we're going to be boring and give him $100. I wish I had begun thinking of this sooner, I would have liked to come up with a creative gift.
