is this in lieu of the actual stamps? i need 1.34 in postage but i cant find any pretty combinations without overpaying. If i hand cancel... can they just charge me the postage with that?

Re: another hand cencelling question...sorry girls
Hand Cancelling is so the invite is not run through the machine. It has nothing to do with postage.

heres another question then.. i have gone to the post office many times to mail plain envelopes but to make sure it is posted that day.. they never put a postage stamp on it but just run it through their machines... will they do that? does anyone know? i mean can they really force me to put extra postage on each envelope simply bc they dont have the combinations?

There is a website (I don't remember the name) where you can order your own stamps. However, if you do not want them run through the machine and want to use their stamps, then you may have to put extra postage on them.
