another hawaii question.......
i know i could do a search but i am too tired and lazy right now!! plus my fiance is bugging me about this--he really wants to do this part of the planning (of course i am gonna help!) but i told him that i would have to check here first before we did anything!!:)ok so here are my questions:
what islands and hotels did you stay in?
how much did it cost (ranges) hotels/airfare/etc.
how many days did you stay for?
did you take a hawaiin cruise (we are thinking about this for one week and then staying on two islands for another week)
what are the 'must see' locations?
what type of rooms did you book -oceanview, etc. and did you get upgraded while you were there?
who did you rent a car from?
what did you do for nightlife?
and anything else you feel i should know!! sorry for all of these questions! but thanks!!:)

8 (I think)

No

Pearl Harbor
All over The Big Island!

Oceanview

I think we rented a Jeep Wrangler from Hertz while on the Big Island (Hawaii). We didn't bother with a car on Oahu. We used taxis, limos & mass transit (buses).
what did you do for nightlife?
We went to 2 clubs while at Oahu. They ****ed. Sorry, I don't recall the names.
and anything else you feel i should know!! sorry for all of these questions! but thanks!!:)
Horseback riding on the Big Island (Waipi'o Valley) was awesome!
We did the helicopter tour of the volcanoes and deep sea fishing while on the Big Island too.

11 days, 5 (Kauai) 5 (Maui) 1 (Oahu)Kauai - Radisson Resort (moderate) Ocean View Room. Really glad we stayed here and saved money. the resort was beautiful yet we didn't feel guilty taking off for the day here and there to explore the island. Rent a convertible! Explore the North Shore btwn May and Oct - beautiful!!!!!!!!! Beach House Restaurant was a must as well as the helicopter ride. Kauai was our favorite island & exactly what I pictured Hawaii to be.
Maui - Kea Lani (deluxe) booked Garden View but got upgraded to Ocean View. we splurged here & thought this resort was amazing. Honestly though, we would have been okay at another moderate resort as we again spent a lot of time exploring the island. But it was nice to live it up for a few days. Road to Hana was great but LONG. Snorkeling at Molokini was cool. Mama's Fish House for dinner was amazing. Jeep Wrangler was the call on Maui & came in handy on the Road to Hana. Maui was a little too crowded/commercial for us but still beautiful.
Oahu- only came to see Pearl Harbor. Great experience. Stayed at the Kahala Mandarin - okay.
We spent $3000 on hotels, $1000 on food, $0 on the flight (FF Miles), $850 on the cars + gas, $400 on i/i flights and about $1500 on other activities and souveniers.
We explored/relaxed all day, had a nice dinner, & didn't really search for much nightlife. Being from NY, with the time change, we found ourselves easily up at 7AM and tired by 9PM.

On our honeymoon we're doing 3 islands ... 11 days, 12 nights over christmas & new years.Kauii, Kona, Mauii
We're staying at Hyatt on Kauii & Mauii & Hilton on Kona. it's costing us a bundle b/c of the holidays, but we think it'll be worth it. If you want anymore details formum mail me. We used Liberty Travel in Levittown & Christine was our travel agent.
Good Luck!
