OK SO I was thinking I really want to go to Aruba but we could also go to the Bahamas (for less) and live like kings and queens-- spend the same amount as in Aruba but having the best of the best ???Any suggestions?

It's all a personal choice. I personally would prefer the best of the best - you go on a HM once (hopefully) in your life.
Maybe you can do Aruba at your one year anniversary?

What specific part of the Bahama's are you going to?
My parents went to Nassau just recently and stayed at the Atlantis Paradise Royal Towers (think that's the whole name) and they said it was honestly the BEST hotel they've EVER stayed at.

See I am not sure on this one! Personally, FH and I have been on wonderful vacations and we do not need the best of the best for our honeymoon. we just want to be together alone without all the BS of wedding planning and crazy family members! I heard Aruba is much nicer than the Bahamas, I would do that. JMHO

Nassau/Paradise Island Grand Bahama Island The Out Islands: The Abacos Acklins/Crooked Island Andros The Berry Islands Bimini Cat Island Eleuthera/Harbour Island The Exumas Inagua Long Island Mayaguana San Salvador
I'm sure you've heard of the first two, they are the most common parts of the Bahama's. Both are absolutely gorgeous, but Nassau is known more for a 'romantic' feel and a couples atmosphere. Nassau has some of the most beautiful accomodations, geared specifically for Honeymooners! That's my suggestion!
p.s. FI suggested Bimini for our HM..I don't know how he found it, but I went and researched the Bahama's in full detail. But we decided on going to Mexico.

hmmm......i have never been on a honeymoon - but a girl in my office did not like her honeymoon in Bermuda. she said it was not very luxury and she was disappointed with some of what they were promised. my cuz went to aruba for her HM and she loved everything about it.
so - aruba gets my vote.
