Another HM question

Thanks for always listening to my HM quesitons as I have so many and not sure what to do....

Ok so biggest prob is not the cost but time...

FH works for now at bear Stearns and they have taken a hit lately and will find out shortly of job status so we're bracing for worst that FH may be at a new job come the wedidng and will most likely not get the gazillion days of vacation he has now. Time is not an issue for me.

So we've tossed Europe around but exchnage rate bas as of now and then the islands, caribbean, resort. crusie thing but FH not a beach person for more than 2-3 days.

So ok now we both are in love with Disney so now we're thinking go there for a week and really do it right!!!!! Stay at great place, see all parks, nice dining and just have a load of fun.

Maybe part of me though is feeling like is this honeymoonish enough???????

what do you think?

Maybe you can do a few days in the Bahamas or a Caribbean Island and then do a few days in Florida?

Either way - your honeymoon will be so special and amazing for you both - no matter where you go!

I think Disney is great - but it can also be kind of crazy running around all day at the parks.

Maybe you could go somewhere for just a few days to relax and then go to Disney?

Re: Another HM question

plenty of people go there for honeymoons!!! fh and i just love the beach so naturally we wouldn't consider Disney. it's all up to what you like. people go to Africa on safari hunts, i wouldn't consider this but hey...there's something for everyone

Bahamas might be a good idea, its a very short trip from FL. i know you guys said you might be short on time.

I guess we're just really in flux because of his job situation and also the exchange rate. it would have been Italy hands down with a full two weeks and stronger dollar. ahhhhh decisions, decisions

I think it would be a good idea if you did one of those short cruises near Florida then head to Disney.

What about a Disney Cruise. I think you still get the fine dining and nice accommodations with Theme Parks and private island beaches? Something to consider?

Disney is fun!!! And if you go for your honeymoon, they give you Bride & Groom Mickey ears and some perks.

And if you stay at one of the higher end resorts on the property, you can do the relax by the pool thing as well.

BTW..sorry about FH's job situation...my FH's best man works there too and is anxiously waiting to hear about his job future there...it s ucks!

Disney would be lots of fun, but it's not the most romantic place with kids running around. It really depends on what you want out of a honeymoon.

The good thing is that if you're taking your honeymoon right after the wedding it's not going to be too busy there and the weather is great!. I'm not sure how into Halloween you are, but during October Disney and Universal do fun Halloween things at night. I went in October last year when FH proposed Speaking of which, if you do decide to go to Orlando you should definitely look into Discovery Cove. That's where FH proposed to me with the dolphins. It's awesome!

If you really like the Disney atmosphere, it will be a lot of fun for you then. It all depends on what you like. I know people who go all out and get a great hotel, go dinning out, and really enjoy everything the parks have to offer. Or you can do what others have recommended, which is the short cruise and then stay at the parks as well.

i think Disney is a great idea - as long as you can go when there are not thousands of screaming children - we kicked that around - along with vegas (FHs choice) - i think that would be such a great HM!

Disney is great but it might be exhausting especially after the wedding, Maybe you can do a few days in the Caribbean and then a few in Disney? At least youll get a few days to relax first

Oooh!!! I forgot, if you go to Disney during late Sept- early Nov. it's their Food and Wine festival at Epcot. It's supposed to be amazing...plus it will be after your wedding so calories don't exist!

Honestly. . . YES! So many people go to Disney for their honeymoon. . . thats why they make the minne and mickey bride and groom ears.

I think its a good idea to plan Disney. Don't forget you can always go on other vacations and have them like a honeymoon if you can't have yours when you really want it or how you really want it.
