is it true that tropical storm katia is heading our way? and is turning into a hurricane in 2 weeks??????

as of this morning that is what the news previews were saying but when i actually watched the news it just said it isnt expected to make landfall for 5 days and as of now they can not predict the path. not sure if that changed since 8am though....

i think its just to get viewers/listeners...at least thats what i hope! we dont need another hurricane

yes theres another storm out there...its too early to tell but it is curving in the direction for the northeast as of right now but that could easily significant curve and blow out to sea...or continue straight and hit the carolinas only.

I'm sure by the weekend they will have a clearer picture of what it will do...but its moving quickly so it will definitely hit wherever its going to hit within a week

Don't worry about things now - it's still too early to predict where the hurricane will go.

All they're saying is, is that so far Katia is taken the same path as Irene, but it's still wayyyyyy to early to tell.

And apparently this hurricanes name was supposed to be Katrina, but they changed it for obvious reasons.

Again, not gonna listen to the news about Katia. I know many were affected by Irene but seriously was such a pain!!

Hopefully it becomes nothing, there are a lot of storms that never reach us and the one that did turned out to be tropical storm by the time it got to us. Hopefully this one won't even make it.

Exactly! It's huricane season....there's many out in the Atlantic. Doesn't mean they will all reach us!
