We have decided not to invite anyone under 18 to our wedding which seemed to work out fine until recently. My FMIL has added 9 of her cousins to our guest list. They are nice people (but I've only met them once and FH only sees them every few years). We found out that one couple has 4 sons. 2 of them are over 18 and 2 of them are younger. How do we handle this. I can NOT make an exception and include the 2 younger boys because other family members (that we are closer too) would be upset that their children were not invited. Any suggestions???

Re: Another Invitation dilemma
How about just inviting the parents? If they don't know you too well, the children will probably be glad they 'don't have to go'. And since it sounds like the kids are probably old enough to watch themselves (or each other), it would be a nice night out for the parents. Good luck!

I think Word of Mouth is the key here! Just make sure that you FMIL in away of your decision and she will relay the message! Just see what will happen when they find out about the no kids under 18th request!
Also, how young are the other 2? may be if they are 16 or so, it doesn't matter
