We do not want any children at our wedding and want to make sure that people understand that. We want to put '....please join us for the Adult Reception......' on our reception cards. My sister did this and a lot of people commented on how tacky it was. Do you agree that it is tacky? Anyone else doing this?

Re: Another invite question
Do you have to put 'adult reception'??? just don't put their name on the inside envelope. When they see, 'John and Jane Smith' and you didn't write Jimmy and Jennie they'll get the hint. Sorry about the tacky names I'm sure you get the point. GL

This is what I did - I think the point got across.

Re: Another invite question
I wouldn't write that either, just put the people who are invited on the envelope

Re: Another invite question
We didn't write it either. People figured it out when they didn't see their children's names on the invitation and through word of mouth.

Re: Another invite question
i would definitely not write it. the names on the envelope should say it all (although people are extremely dense when it comes to this!) so also make sure to spread it word of mouth esp by MOB and FMIL

Re: Another invite question
I have to agree with everyone else. I wouldn't put that on the invite either. The inner envelope addressing should cover any questions people have.
