Another lipstick question...

I'll be buying that this week... what about lip liner? Do I need that? If so, what color do I get? Is it a darker shade than your lipstick color? Thanks!

Re: Another lipstick question...

Why don't you go to a professional makeup counter?
They will try on different shades and determine what is right for you, including if you need a liner.
I always suggest using a liner.

Re: Another lipstick question...

I agree with Jen. The make-up counters in department stores do free make-overs for you. Go into one and tell them that you are looking for wedding make-up, specifically lipstick, and let them help you pick one out and help you decide whether you need lipliner or not.

Re: Another lipstick question...

I agree with the above. For sure go to a make up counter in a department store. I personally use estee lauder ( I am going for a trial with Kathleen from EL in bloomingdales in the mall) but any of them will do it. It's free, you can't go wrong and they will teach you the basics about lip liner, etc.

Re: Another lipstick question...

If you go to the counter, make sure they apply it for you and you like how it looked. Everytime I go to one of those counters to buy a new shade of lipstick they insist I need lip liner. I look awful in lip liner and I know that. I think lip liner is one of those basic things they insist you wear. It is suppose to keep your lipstick in place and make your lipstick last longer. Anyway, one day the I made the lady put it on me and she quickly wiped it off and agreed it looked bad!
