Another MIL Update

It looks like MIL will not be coming home on thursday. It actually looks like she will never be coming home
We spoke to her Dr over the weekend and he had NEVER cleared her to come home. He told us MIL will need ALOT of care- care that Jerry and I can not give her. If she comes home she will need 24/7 nurse care and her HHA. And If she was to come home her Dr told us that she is so weak, and frail that more than likely will end up back in the hospital again within a month. So we had to make a decision on 24/7 home care or for her to stay in the nursing home. We have decided on her staying in the nursing home. It was a hard decision to make. Its also harder to know that she will never be home again and will never get any better.

I'm so sorry Celia..that's really tough. That must have been a hard decision to make- but at least with her in the nursing home she'll be under constant care.

I'm so sorry. I can't believe they told you that when it wasn't true!

I'm so sorry to hear that! Personally I think you did the right decision, even while it may be hard. I remember when they had to do that for my Grandmother. My dad went back and forth but eventually realized it was the best thing for her.

I am so sorry Celia. It's heartbreaking to go through something like this as I experienced with my papa. It's such a hard decision to make but just know that you and Jerry are looking out what is best for her and helping her get the care that she deserves. She is very fortunate to have the both of you.
