Re: Another one! If you are calling a friend?
If I called on their regular phone I would say hi how are you....if I dont really like that person I would have to be nice to and greet...I would call my friend on their cell phone and avoid the being nice part.

Next time the person calls be really nice. When they ask for Ronnie be like, 'Hi 'X', how are you? How is work going? Anything new and interesting in your life? Have you found a man yet?' Then put him on the phone. I feel ya on this. I have been in the exact situation you are discribing.

Re: Another one! If you are calling a friend?
I usually say hey Matt, or Rob or whoever it is that answered and chat with them for a bit. Then ask for where is your wifey? Your woman? If I am calling a family line and know the person's voice I always greet the person and chit chat for a while then ask for my friend. Same goes for when people call FH's line at home and they start chit chatting with me. And the same goes when he picks up my own line at my house.
HOWEVER, when I pick up a call on my parents line-my mother's nasty friends (not all, just the ones I can't stand) say where is your mother? So I say hello how are you? Are you in a rush?? You must be since you can't say hello to me!! Then I get the comment after my mom gets off the phone, you are so rude... blah, blah, blah. Too bad. I don't give a rats a$$ how old or who you are. Give me the respect that you would want from someone.

Buzz off always works too...lol
My mother always says kill em with kindness. I partially take her advice and add some sarcasm into the mix.
