another OOT Gift bags question

i love the idea of the OOT gift bags ... i'm just worried about my ever-growing budget ... can anyone tell me approximately how much money they spent on each bag?

TIA

haven't done them yet but I don't think I'd want to spend more than $10-$15 per each bag (and that's including the bag the stuff goes in)

Honestly, it costs a lot more than you'd think. Picking up all those little things for $1 or so adds up quickly. We're looking at spending about $25 on each bag.

Wow, that's a lot (we'll probably need to make at least 20 of them) ... i'm glad i asked lol

Thanks!

Yeah I wish I had realized how much they would cost also! We're doing 15. I went to The Christmas Tree Shop and started loading up the cart with little things and boy did it come out to be more than I expected!

ETA: Some hotels even charge you $5 to deliver it to the room!

just a thought...but you could buy cookies(or brownies or cupcakes or whatever) and bottled water...wrap the cookies with a pretty ribbon and a note from the bride/groom to be- and leave that in the room for the guests...

it's still a nice gesture, pleasant surprise and a way for the OOT guests to know you thought of them!

i hope not a lot! haha

prob gonna put water, gum, some kind of chocolate, pretzels, advil or aleve packets, tums, alka seltzer (for the morning), and then all the wedding info
i figured we could buy some of the stuff at a costco for cheaper.

and im going to leave them with the hotel front desk to hand out as people check in! def not paying money to have them delivered, if they charge.

Most hotels won't leave them in the room but give them out at the check-in desk. Just FYI.

We went to a wedding where they put 2 mini bottles of water and a package of cookies and a few hershey kisses in a chinese take-out container type thingy along with a little note about the weekend. Much more modest (probably cost them about $5 per box) but still a nice gesture.

Re: another OOT Gift bags question

I think I spent about $150 at costco on stuff to put in the bags. I bought the bags at AC Moore when they were on sale ($.39 each). I ended up making 17 bags.

I had:

2 bottles of water
granola bars
oreos
a small bag of pretzels
chocolate kisses
packets of tylenol
mini chocolate bars

The hotel gave them out when people checked in.
