We purchased Sage green paint for our bedroom, but I think it may be too much green with my bed set and drapes??? (We didn't paint yet) This is the only picture I have, it's a discountinued set now, but I found a picture on the internet.
So my question is, if it's too much green, can someone recommend a nice color? I need ideas. Thanks

Re: Another Paint/color question
I don't think it would me too much green, but if you think so, how about a light beige comforter with green in it?

I dont think it will be to green.. Do white modling to break it up..
But if you really want another color, i would say in the brown family..

I think it would look really nice...not too much green for me at all either. What color is the carpeting in that room or do you have hard wood floors?

Really? You don't think it will be too much green? That's what I am afraid of, although I love the sage color.
That's my good bed set I got from my shower, and which I LOVE so I would like to use it as much as I can.

I have to disagree and think it would be too much green. But then again I have a dad who thinks wearing different shades of the same color is a good idea!
I would go with a beige or taupe color to contrast against the green. Make it really atnd out. But it is jmo

I also thought at first that it might be too much green (my favorite color!), but then again, I am no Martha Stewart!
On the other hand, if you do go with green, try breaking it up by putting base and crown molding in. That'll take the eye away from the green a bit.
P.S. Love your bedding!

I agree with Jen, I think a taupe would be beautiful. That way, it is semi-neutral in case you ever change your bedset in the future as well.

Re: Another Paint/color question
It would be too much green of the same color for me..and it would be sort of hard to match up exactly.
I would suggest taking your comforter with you to look at paint chips. Pick out a color that matches the less dominant shade in the pattern (i cant tell from here but its probably a beige). Then paint the room that color.
Then I would add darker green accents like frames and lamps, etc.. It will still have that monocramtic look without being a

I dont think it would be too much green at all. Like someone mentioned do white moulding. Or go with a taupe color if you think it will be too much. I LOVE green.

I would go with a different color too. I have dark sage velvet drapes in our BR and the walls are a color called Haze sort of taupe-ish. It's a Behr color but they were able to simulate it with a Ben Moore paint. I vote for white moulding too.
The bedding is very pretty

Jenhos, my father use to do the same thing and said 'They are going to take my money anyway no matter how I dress'
Jenn, I think you can do it either way, I have a beige bedroom with a beige bed set, beige rug and am going to get beige curtains and we are just bring out color with darker wood and pictures, sounds funny but looks great!! The designers on TV have a name for it, forgot what they call it, but it is when you do a room with a lot of the same color!

I have the same comforter set - It's Whitney Burlington, right? It's been disco'ed at Fortunoff where I got it. I think it has alot of browns in it thus our walls are a beigy brown color. I think you can use browns or a sage green.
ETA: I also have a lot of plums and purples to give a punch of color in the room.
