how do you list couples names (non married)? does the male go first or the female? or does it go based on who you are inviting (ex: i am inviting my cousin lisa so she gets listed first and her guest second)

I am putting the main person I'm inviting first. In the event I'm close to both I will put the male first

No it should always be the womans name first i believe... ex: Ms. Lisa Smith & Mr. Tom Jones unless of course you dont have the other persons name then its Ms. Lisa Smith and Guest or Mr. Tom Jones and Guest.
