Another positive thread! What was the last thing you did that you are really proud of?

Three weeks ago; spent a weekend organizing a charity run. Found sponsors and everything.

finishing yet ANOTHER part of the u.s. medical licensing exam yesterday! i'm proud to have made it through 9 hours without hurting anyone or myself

ETA: deb, where was the charity run?!?! and what charity was it for? lemme know next time and i will run!

Alex -- you should go -- one of my jobs is to do promotional charitable events -(musiccares)- for this one, you would enjoy the vacation -- it is down in FLA to benefit hurricane victims -- who btw, are still rebuilding.

I don't know about positive things BUT the last non-negative thing I did was not pull my hair out when I read tons of stupid threads.
That is something I am VERY proud of!

Getting a new job at a much higher position and good salary.....I paid my dues at my old company (loved my old company, it was very hard for me to leave) But making a name for myself and really working up the corporate ladder

Got promoted at my job after only 3 months (over people who worked there way longer than me)!

I know most lawyers would say I'm jumping the gun, since it's not signed yet, but I received my first verbal agreement for a 'big deal' at work. My first since I got this new position.

Finally finishing my Ph.D and then choosing a job that I really really wanted (with less pay) over a job for more money that I really didn't want to do. I'm usally a little impulsive decision-wise and freaked out about making ends meet with $$, so I was proud to make a decision with hopefully good long-term consequences.

And on the very very short term, I get really proud of myself when I cook several times in a week or actually go to the gym with regularity. Harder than it sounds

We had a big event on Tuesday night-- it was a very stressful experience. I had to 'handle' the celebrites that were attending.. having never done it before-- I dealt with them after they were cranky from a flight from LA and got them to the event.

I never want to do this again-- but, they got there, I handled it, although I was praying for an IV of gin to help me through it.

I had a really big accomplishment this week. The Senate passed S. 2489, the Coastal and Ocean Mapping Integration Act. It was a bill that I pitched to my committee and helped write when I was a legislative fellow on the Hill this spring.

(The bill will need to be reintroduced in the next Congress because it passed too late for the House to act on it this session. BTW, only 10% of bills that are introduced in Congress ever get passed into law! Isn't that crazy?)

Hmm, how about getting a 4.0 during the summer session part of my grad program And, fingers crossed, I'll maintain it this semester.

I'm organizing a charitable project right now and I will feel VERY proud (and relieved) when it's all completed tonight.

Wow, you are wonderful amazing women. I wanna be like you when I grow up.
It's been two semesters, but I'm proud of deciding to go back to college after taking a 4 year break. Who am I kidding? A Bachelor's is like a HS diploma these days! I can't wait to finish.
