Since you guys are responding, I had a quick question. I was talking to my mom last night and she asked me about my wedding party. I told her that I am having a MOH and a Matron of Honor. Does the Matron wear a different dress than the other bridesmaids or does she wear the same dress that the Maid of Honor is wearing? Also when does she walk down the aisle, before the MOH or after all the bridesmaids? My mom said the matron is supposed to help with the dress and make sure it drapes perfectly when walking down the aisle. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Re: Another question for the latina brides
Are you talking about the difference between the Madrina and the Dama Solitaria?
I don't know which one you are calling which (I haven't figured this out for myself yet either) so I'll go by their spanish names.
In the processional the Dama Solitaria goes before the Madrina and after all the other BMs. The Madrina wears a slightly different dress or same dress in a different shade. The Dama Solitaria usually wears the same gown as the other BMs with something slightly different to make her stand out.
As far as the dress fixing part, I'm not sure yet but I'd like to know too!! I think it's the Madrina that's supposed to do it, but my Madrina says it the Dama Solitaria!

Re: Another question for the latina brides
well, my sister had a MOH (me) and a matron but we both wore the same dress and she walked right behind me. then came all the BM's. She didn't have any Madrinas or anything since she didn't get married through the Catholic Church and that is usually when it's done. I guess it all depends on how you want it done. And besides, the MOH fixes the dress when you have reached the altar and when you are getting ready to do the recessional (or whatever they call it when the ceremony is over and you are walking out of the church ) At the reception hall it should be your attendant who fixes your dress.

Ok, I'm not 100% percent sure, but fairly sure, that the Madrina comes in right before you. It goes like this:
Parents (yours and his, don't know which first) BMs & GMs Dama Solitaria Madrina FG & RB Pajesitos (if you're having them) You
Question for you -- which one are you calling the 'MAID' of honor and which one do you call the MATRON???
