Re: Another question for the married ladies
I think the answer to this question depends on if you already live together or not. We've lived together for almost 4 years already, so aside from the band on my finger and new last name, not a damn thing has changed.
BUT, I'm sure the answers from the ladies who didn't live together until after the wedding will be quite different.

I also lived with my DH before we were married for about 1 1/2 years. It feels pretty much the same as it did before the wedding, but I think that he's a little sweeter and more protective of his wife than he was of his future wife. Not in a creepy way, but in a very loving way.

Re: Another question for the married ladies
we lived together for a year before the wedding and things have definately changed. Dh is more amazing then he has ever been. He loves to call me his wife every chance he can ( mildly annoying at times lol) when people ask him how married life is he always has a sappy answer...he is even attempting to cook lol...Im sure it wont always be like this and he will calm down but its been about 40 days and it hasnt yet!!

Re: Another question for the married ladies
I did not live with my husband before we got married, my dad lived with me.
After we got married, it was an adjustment for me. I moved out of my co-op into my husband's apartment. We had to get used to each other's routines, I have to stop being so darn independent. I do enjoy coming home at night and there is someone to come home to. Not that I didn't come home to my dad, but this is different. It is my husband. I cook for him almost every night, we watch tv together, we run errands together. But we also have our own space and time to do things on our own. I still take care of my dad, doing his laundry, cleaning, doing his banking, and this is something my DH understands and does not question my time on.
It's nice feeling to have someone special to share with.

Anytime. My husband is 45 and I'm 41, first time married so it is a big adjustment for both of us. We hit some rough patches, argue on occassion, but overall, being married is nice. I think it is a closer bond than just living together because we made a committment to spend our lives together.

Re: Another question for the married ladies
We lived together for a few years before getting married and we both agree that nothing much has changed except my name, the balance in our savings account and the amount of bling on my finger

that's pretty how much i feel too.
however, since we have now combined our finances, i feel like my spending habits are being scrutinized since he balances the checkbook. other than that, it's just a new name and new jewelry.
