Have you ever heard of using a third party to have your shower gifts sent to if the person can't make it? Or are you suppose have it mailed to yourself? I just did one of my registries tonight and I put 'other' as the ship to address and used one of BM's address. There is also the option to have it sent to the person purchasing. I thought that she could, if she would (I am waiting to here back from her) wrap and bring the gift so I could open it in front of everyone. It is an online only registry. If it were sent to us, I wouldn't feel right bringing the gift with me and also I don't know when the shower will be. My mother thinks this is tacky. What do you think? TIA

Re: Another registry question
i think its a good idea! if someone is willing to brign them for you then go for it!! alot of places will gift wrap for you when its being shipped so the person receiving it might not have to even arap it!

Re: Another registry question
This registry doesn't have a gift wrap option, that I know. The one I was asking to do the wrapping is my FH's brother's girlfriend who is in the bridal party. FH also has 2 sister-n-laws that could help wrap it too. I would supply the paper. My sister, MOH, is pregnant with twins and I didn't want to ask her. I thought it would be nicer to see the gift opened in front of everyone. My mother freaked out with the idea of having it shipped to someone else. I didn't want to offend anyone. I have no problem having it shipped to me and will do that if it is the correct thing to do. I just don't know.

Re: Another registry question
I had mentioned it to my mother to see her reaction. I was thinking that I would ask to send it to her but then her reaction made me say forget that idea. She is very against it being sent to anyone other than myself.
